Strong ride in Barcelona notches Roulstone 8th place 🙌
Barcelona, Catalunya - Red Bull GASGAS Tech3’s Jacob Roulstone delivered another impressive performance at the 18-lap Grand Prix, securing an 8th place finish and continuing his streak of points-scoring races to six in his debut Moto3 season. The young Australian rider demonstrated his growing proficiency in racecraft and strategy, solidifying his position as a formidable contender in the Moto3 field.
The race saw Roulstone and his teammate, Daniel Holgado, actively engaged in the front-running group of 15 riders. The dynamic nature of the race, characterized by frequent position swapping and tire conservation, tested the riders' skills and strategies. Roulstone's aggressive start and consistent pace allowed him to lead the second group and finish a commendable 8th.
"Overall I’m very happy with the race. It wasn’t perfect but pleased with the way I rode. I knew I had to be aggressive off the start – that was something to improve – and I did that," Roulstone said. "It was a shame just to be a tenth of a second from that front group. I kept my focus and the tires working well and to lead that second group. I still have some small things to do better but it was a good weekend."
