"I was given the opportunity to race in the 2020 Hawkers European Talent Cup as part of the FIMCEV Junior World Championship with the Leopard Impala Junior team. It was an incredible experience to see how it’s done in Spain. The competition here is immense and the talent is incredible."

Jacob is in the right place to make his career dream of racing MotoGP come true.

"I started road racing in 2017 and just loved it, that’s when I set my sights on making MotoGP my life long career."

"Definitely one of the highlights so far has been winning Estoril Round 1 Race 1 in 2021.  It was a great feeling standing on the podium in Portugal hearing the Australian anthem and it was also on Anzac Day which was pretty good. I had a lot of friends in Australia watching live and I was glad I could celebrate Anzac Day like that.

2022 saw Jacob selected to compete in the prestigious Red Bull Moto GP Rookies Cup and at the same time, stepped up to a new class in the FIM Junior GP World Championship with the Aspar Junior Team.

His improvement towards the end of the 2022 season secured his seat in both championships for 2023.  Jacob continued to compete in both the Junior GP world championship and Red Bull Moto GP Rookies Cup. During 2023 he was keen to make an impression throughout the year to attempt to secure a World Championship ride for 2024.

“2023 was a big year.  I worked very hard in my pre season preparation and had my sights set on making it into the world championship in 2024.  I managed to achieve 4 podiums across the year and was offered an amazing seat in Red Bull Gas Gas Tech 3 Team for 2024.

"These really are amazing opportunities that I have had. I hope to continue to improve in every race and continually move towards the end goal of racing Moto GP for Australia."

In 2024, Jacob has certainly impressed in his Rookie season in the World Championship and has now secured a contract to continue with the Red Bull Gas Gas Tech 3 team as a KTM factory rider for 2025.

“My family and I have sacrificed so much to get me to where I am today and I cannot thank them enough for this.  My goal now is to continue scoring points across the remainder of 2024 and fight for the world championship in 2025.
