Spirited Ride for Roulstone at Home ♥️
Phillip Island, Australia – Local hero Jacob Roulstone delivered a spirited performance in front of his home crowd during the 21-lap Moto3 Australian Grand Prix, marking a special milestone in his career.
The 18-year-old Australian rider, competing for the first time in front of the Aussie fans, battled hard to finish 13th, earning valuable points and showing signs of a bounce back to form after a challenging rookie campaign.
Starting next to his teammate, Daniel Holgado, on the fifth row of the grid, Roulstone pushed himself to break into the competitive group chasing the leading positions.
Despite the abrasive Phillip Island track adding a layer of difficulty, Roulstone stayed determined, fighting his way back to the points with a finish just 4.4 seconds behind the leader.
Reflecting on his first race in front of a home crowd, Roulstone said, “An amazing experience to race in front of the Aussie fans for the first time. I saw so many flags. I struggled a bit in the race to pass some of the boys in the middle of the group, but after the last few rounds it was good to be back in that group. I felt at home in the dry here. It gave me some confidence for the last few rounds.”
Roulstone’s finish at Phillip Island moved him to 15th in the Moto3 World Championship standings with 53 points, offering a promising platform as he prepares for the final races of the season.
