Determination and speed shown at the British Grand Prix despite penalty 💪
Silverstone, UK - Red Bull GASGAS Tech3’s Jacob Roulstone faced challenges in his debut GP appearance at the British Grand Prix, ultimately finishing in 17th place after a Long Lap penalty. The young Australian rider demonstrated resilience and determination on the long Silverstone course, showing promise despite the setbacks.
Roulstone quickly connected with the Silverstone circuit, qualifying in an impressive 6th position. However, a misjudgment on the opening lap led to an off-track excursion and a subsequent Long Lap penalty, affecting his overall race performance. Despite these hurdles, Roulstone worked hard to regain his position, finishing in 17th place.
"I had a horrendous start and it was stressful, so apologies to [David] Muñoz and his team for sliding in. It was unlucky and I had the Long Lap to do," Roulstone explained. "I then tried to put my head down and salvage some points but couldn’t manage it. Apart from the race the weekend has been very good. I need to match a good qualifying to a good race! Put them both together. I’m still learning with that. We’ll try again in two weeks’ time."
